ASVP Artist t shirt - Agnes b

agnès b. is pleased to announce the Spring/Summer 2013 installment of her Artist’s T-shirt collection which includes designs by the New York-based duo ASVP. The t-shirt collection includes two designs for men and two designs for women. This unique collaboration will also continue later this spring with a knit top, knit cardigan and trench coat for women, each printed with images of ASVP works throughout city streets, all meticulously and cautiously pasted and glued to walls and doors.

ASVP artworks reproduced in the agnès b. Artist’s T-shirt collection include Donkey Head, 2009, and Yours Truly, 2010. These pieces have been redesigned and specially formatted to fit with the shape of the t-shirts in the agnès b. collection.

agnès b. originally discovered ASVP’s weather torn artworks while taking photos in the streets of Brooklyn and Manhattan and she quickly became curious to know more about the artists behind the work. In September 2012, she invited ASVP to curate an exhibition at the agnès b. Galerie Boutique in SoHo, New York. The exhibition, titled, PUBLIC DISPLAY, brought together both established and rising stars of the street art scene, including FAILE, QRST, N’DA, GAIA, D*FACE and MISS BUGS.

ASVP began working together in 2007. Since then, the team of two has created and displayed paintings, murals and poster art, worldwide, creating a cult-like following by Street Art enthusiasts and art collectors throughout The United States, Europe and Asia. The duo’s work often marries eastern and western imagery from multiple influences including retro advertising, pop and comic book culture, often mixed with bold typographic elements. ASVP's multi-layered compositions regularly include bright tones of pop inspired color.

Other artists featured in the Spring/Summer 2013 Artists T-shirts collection includes Ryan McGinness, Claude Lévêque, Adrian Boot, Jaya, Jay One, Ash and Jonone.
