CASADEI FOR PRABAL GURUNG FW 2013-14

Cesare Casadei and Prabal Gurung, who have collaborated since the SS 2013 season, have presented their new collection CASADEI FOR PRABAL GURUNG on the runway of the Prabal Gurung Fall/Winter 2013-2014 show. Cesare Casadei, creative director of Casadei, has created four exclusive styles, translating Prabal Gurung’s military theme into utilitarian inspired, yet ultra-feminine styles, typical of the Italian shoe brand.

All models feature Casadei’s iconic “Blade” heel, a fetish par excellence, with a 12.5 cm sharp golden razor blade welded to the upper sole. The collection is complete of sandals, closed toe shoes and over the knee boots, expressed in four color variations: black, grey, loden green or gold. Cesare Casadei has played with decorative elements and combined these in different ways.

Leather straps in various materials, such as suede, crocodile print leather, and “Ayers” snake hold together the shoes, adding a utilitarian effect. Almond shaped platforms in mirror effect shiny gold leather; gold back zippers and metal buckles highlight the silhouette and recall the golden “Blade” heel. The sandal comes with a hidden platform, which is doubled for the closed toe shoes and the over the knee boots, featuring an outside platform, almond shaped and in contrasting lustrous gold leather. The hybrid-boot with classic tassel detailing references the military uniform in tune with Prabal Gurung’s FW 2013/2014 collection.

CASADEI FOR PRABAL GURUNG will be sold at CASADEI boutiques and at select multi-brand retailers and department stores in fashion capitals worldwide.
