GANT SS 13 MENSWEAR PRESS PREVIEW

This morning I was invited along to the press preview at the GANT Flagship store in London's Regent Street to check out the SS 13 collection now in-store at GANT and GANT online.

After a hearty breakfast Robert the store manager gave us a tour of the new collection which was a bright and colourful experience as you would expect from GANT. What interesting is for SS 13 GANT have gone for a more tailored look and offering such things as blazers in two cuts classic and slim fit which covers all age demographics.

I enjoyed looking around some of the collection favourites which are carried over season to season these pieces you can never go wrong with, classic blazers summer knitwear, pocket squares and great loafers.


Now on to the main collection which is split into three parts Mad about Madras, From Rio with Love and Montauk.

The collections draws inspiration from costal cultures around the world from the upbeat beaches of Brazil and iconic prints popular in India to nautical prep of Eastern Long Island.... The collection dives into its eclectic heritage to deliver smart and causal summer staples.....



Mad about Madras - features Oxford shirts, patchwork shorts and blazers which come in crisp poplin and over dyed canvas sporting preppy prints in vivid and more toned down colour combinations. Key pieces include check blazer, prep chinos and patchwork ties.

Montauk - the beach town on the tip of east Long Island best know for its laid back attitude and care free spirit. Nautical sweaters, shorts and technical sailing jackets all in airtime colour palettes of sting primaries and fresh neutrals accented with bold stripes presented in crisp cotton poplin and heavy cotton twills to to create and completes the sporty look. From Rio with Love - inspired by the beauty and culture of Rio de Janeiro .... Vivid palettes of saturated yellows, oranges, pinks and turquoises adds a little Latin to the GANT mans wardrobe..... All in breezy fabrics such as crisp poplin, cool cotton and linen to help beat the heat and perfect for strolling or even hiking up Sugar Loaf Mountain. Key piece Harrington check jacket.


All in all the SS 13 is a Must to create a cool, sharp and crisp look for this summer .......
